The Certified Human Resources Professional (CRHA) designation is bestowed upon members accepted into the provincially recognized Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés [Order of Human Resource Professionals] (CRHA).
The CRHA is a historically renowned organization—founded in the sixties—with approximately ten thousand members tasked with upholding the standards of the human resource profession. They offer three awards to their most outstanding human resource professionals, one of which is aimed at university students and even have online publications on a wide range of topics to keep members informed of the latest human resource trends, provide educational resources such a guidebooks and video tutorials, and even have an internal job board for potential employers to post job offers. Being an order located in Quebec, applicants must be able to speak French at a professional working proficiency in order to be admitted. Applicants also must be graduates of a bachelor’s program in human resource management or industrial relations. However, applicants must also pass an exam which costs between $454.15 and $678.35 (tax included) to gain entry into this order.
